Multi-Interval Task Scheduling | Multiple start/due dates on the same task

Hey! How do I plan the same task on more different days - e.g. 3h today and 2h tomorrow, BUT with specified "from-to" hours for each day, not just draging it accross 2 days. 
I'd like to be able to work on the same task a few hours every day, however don't want to use the recurring trigger as the task doesn't show up in the calendar until the trigger is activated. 
Currently I duplicate the same task and schedule it on different days.

 since last October and there is no beta open yet, so it has been advertising a door you cannot walk through. Straight version below.
What you can already do today
Give one task different hours on different days. Open the task, click Time estimate, hit the three-lines icon, expand the date range, and type the hours per day. Works from Workload too.
What we are building
The thing this post asked for back in 2019: one task on the plan as several separate periods
, with real gaps between them. Two weeks on, a week off, finish later, and it stays one task. Each part carries its own dates and its own hours per day. No duplicated tasks, no dummy dependencies to fake a pause, and capacity numbers that finally tell the truth. In the beta you create a part by cutting the bar on the timeline.
What lands at 1.0
Creating and editing those parts from inside the task itself, instead of going to a timeline to do it. Several of you asked for exactly that, and it is next after the beta.
What this will not do
Choose which hours of your day you work on something: 9 to 11 rather than "3 hours on Tuesday". That is time blocking, and it is coming with the next version of Planner rather than here.
Timing
Weeks rather than months. What is left is corner cases, not the core interaction. The beta signup form is in the pinned update above, and it is still collecting.

Vasil Enchev Just looking at the beta sign-up image, this looks like you need to do this from Workload or Timeline view.
We really need to be able to do this quickly from Task view, without having to expose every Task you want to do this on on a Timeline or Workload view.
It also looks like we have to manually split Tasks. This seems like it will take ages. You would have to set a Start and Due date for every Task so it will expose on Timeline view, then find it in Timeline view, then split it, then move the split.
Compare that to if you simply create "Work Sessions" in Task view instead (in the same manner as setting as Start and Due Date right now) - that would be so much quicker, and those work sessions could then be exposed anywhere: Timeline, Workload, Calendar, List view, etc.
But having to use Timeline view to do it would be way too complex and time-consuming.
Seems like the easiest thing is just to create a new Task property called "Work Sessions", where we can just add times and dates quickly.
 (Not dissimilar to how subtasks work, but quicker and less complex, no Task Descriptions, Custom Fields, etc.)

Fair challenge on the entry point, and there are two separate things inside it.
Setting hours per day is already there, and not only from Workload or Timeline: open the task, click the Time estimate field, then the three lines icon next to the estimate, and expand the date range to type hours for each day.
What splitting adds is the gaps: several parts on one task, each with its own dates and its own hours. In the beta you create those parts on the timeline. Creating and editing them from inside the task, which is what you are describing, is not in the beta - it is coming for 1.0.
If a Work Sessions field existed on the task, would you use it mainly to plan your own work, or to schedule other people?

As per that request: "Essentially, if you guys create a "Days/Times TO WORK ON" field on Tasks, we could then see that in Task View, and on the new Calendar view. This has always been a major problem in ClickUp - that Due Date is not just a due date, but is also treated as a day to work on something. Those two things need separating. We need to be able to set days/times to work on tasks."

Calendar is the main view I use all the time to manage my workload within the app, is this beta-feature planned to be pushed to all views outside of Workload? (or at least to calendar from my point of view).

Is there a beta for other views?

One thing I would love is to be able to expose the Work Sessions as a property in List view.
So you could see the number of work sessions planned for a Task, the total time allocated to work sessions for a Task (and could even break that down to this week/next 2 weeks/this month), number of previous work sessions, etc.
It could be like "Time in Status", where you get on option of how you display it.
Then, you could click the cell, and it pops-up showing you all the work sessions (the same way the "Linked Tasks" column does - where it pops up showing you the linked Tasks).
I plan my week, and in list view, I manually add a column "number of hours planned this week". It would be cool if I could do the same with Work Sessions.
