More connector options - dotted, dashed, crows feet, etc.

create more connectors like the dotted line ones so we can give more life to the process diagrams we create. also allow us to shape/ format the lines however we want, such as allowing us to make a connector that goes straight and then down so that the lines are exactly where we want it to and they don't overlap into the shapes that we already have in our process diagram. please see screen shot attached of what I mean.

I love all of the ideas and comments here. A bit of refinement on the connectors would go a long way for functionality of the whiteboard... which I love!

Second the comment about broken lines/dotted lines - would be super useful.
It would be convenient if we could manually move the arrow path to come off of a specific side of the text box. I realize it tries to do this intuitively but in reality it's not going where I'd like it to much of the time.
Also, for the arrows to not be able to crossover another text box. They should have to go around the text box by default.
Thanks crew!!

Whiteboards are pretty great at this point, but just wanted to add a couple things related to connectors.
Would be nice if they were able to connect anywhere on the shape. Only being able to snap to 4 points is a little irritating and looks weird sometimes depending on where you drag a shape.
Bonus points if we could lock in in to a point on a shape - but that's just extra.
Finally, the ability to control the shape of the connector with vector editor style path handles ala Adobe Illustrator would be VEERY handy.

Ability to move Connector Lines to avoid shapes
G
Greg Davidson
The ability to move connector lines to avoid shapes would be very useful. Currently connector lines will go through shapes or in front of other shapes and text causing legibility issues.
Ideally, it would be great to adjust the path of a connector line manually, but at the least have some sort of logic or ability to avoid lines going through other shapes.

Toggle to disable connector snapping (and manually place a connector end point)
Matt Wilkins
Snapping is great, except when it's not. Say for example I want to point to different parts of a single image that don't correspond to center edge points, I would like to be able to manually set the connector line. In my particular use case, I have an image of our production process and I want to have text boxes explaining who's involved that point to the relevant spot in the process image. But as it stands, I can only draw a connector that snaps to the middle of the nearest edge of the image, so everybody's pointing at the middle step in our process. A simple toggle to disable autosnapping would fix this perfectly.
