In our large department, we have created a separate Folder for each team, where projects and tasks are organized into different Lists. This year, we are facing a new challenge: we have a set of projects that are shared across multiple teams, and we need all teams to collaborate on a single List while that List remains accessible within each team's own Folder.
Currently, there is no native solution in ClickUp for this scenario. Teams are forced to rely on workarounds such as duplicating Lists (which are not synced) or using filters and dashboards (which do not provide a satisfactory user experience).
When looking for a solution, we realized that ClickUp already provides this capability at the Task level — a Task can be added to multiple Lists using the "Add to Another List" option, and all instances remain fully synced. This is exactly the same logic we need for Lists. If this capability exists for Tasks, why shouldn't we be able to do the same for a List across multiple Folders or even Spaces?
Our proposal is to add "Add to Another Folder" and "Add to Another Space" options to the right-click menu of every List, so that a single List can exist simultaneously as a Mirror in multiple Folders or Spaces, with all changes, tasks, comments, and updates fully synced across every instance in real time.
This feature would be a game-changer for project managers handling cross-team projects, giving them the flexibility to define shared Lists across different Folders and Spaces without losing the context of each team's own workspace. It would eliminate redundancy, prevent miscommunication, and enable true cross-team collaboration — all within the same unified platform that ClickUp promises to be.
