MindMap EXPORT
Eric Mann
I was shocked to discover today that, apparently, ClickUp users can't really export their mindmaps at all. Although there are some attempted workarounds...
I would expect that the software would allow us to export to PDF or other formats that can be imported or integrated with other software.
In my experience, people attracted to the Mindmap feature have likely already used (or are using) Mindmap software(s), and allowing this integration (plus the PDF) would make the whole feature MUCH more attractive and useful.
For example, I would love to create client mindmaps here in ClickUp but ALSO be able to export them to other software for interaction and storage (since I do MOST of my mindmapping in either Miro or Boardmix and have used MindMeister & Xmind). It seems no mind mapping software operates perfectly like you want, but each has its strengths and weaknesses...
There may be some standard-ish(?) formats for MindMaps, but most (if not all) are proprietary, probably because each is, almost by definition, a universe unto its own.
IMO, in the absence of universal standard file formats, perhaps making your own ClickUp proprietary format that you shared freely with other major mindmapping softwares would be another reason to choose ClickUp over competitors.
Due to the whole "separate worlds" problem referred to above, FULL interaction may not be easily achievable between separate file formats, but the basic knowledge of node->subnode relationships would seem to be universally translatable.

The ability to export a mind map is absolutely necessary!! As already mentioned, at least (!!) as pdf...

At least a pdf export is needed to me

I believe there are some universal formats. Like .mm. What most apps can open/import/export.
If ClickUp has function to export to .mm format it would be great. It's really very basic format. And it's pretty easy to implement.
I'm not saying about Import - it would be good as well. But more hard to implement.
