Mind Maps have made their debut! They are one of ClickUp's most highly requested features, and we are excited to receive your feedback. Let us know what you like, what you don't, and any ideas for improvements that can benefit your workflows!

I looked through all the comments and didn't find this feedback so here it is...
When doing a trial that includes access to Mind Maps, users should be able to still view the Mind Map that they created even after the Mind Map uses have expired or trial has ended.
It would be understandable to restrict further edits/creations once it has expired (similar to the limitations we see to number of Spaces allotted in some plans).
But to take away the whole Mind Map from users who worked on it during the long 2 week trial and require an upgrade just to view it again.... It seems like a sales trap and is unnecessarily frustrating for trial users. Especially for those who don't feel ready to upgrade the exact moment the trial ends and have now lost access to all the data they worked on.
It's not a good feeling to lose your work and that is the end of trial experience that this set up is giving to prospective paying customers.

The map view icons need to be a little more like they are in the SmartSuite app. They should show the name & address first with an option to expand and there should be a get directions button. This is a way better handling of map locations.

- Option to color code nodes/tasks by custom field and/or task type
- Option to filter subtasks by custom field and/or status

Feels like a bug: (1) I change the order of the tasks in the list view because we can't edit it in mindmap (Feature request) but the order is not applied on the mindmap (bug). (2) Updating the status of a task moves it to the bottom which makes it tough to keep the thing consistent.

- Option to show additional information and custom fields in mind maps.
I would like to show more information in the mind maps. Currently you can see the task name and status. Additionally I would like to have an option to see and edit sprint points, time estimates, custom fields, etc.
Similar to the options you can set for cards in the Board view.
- Rollup of sprint points and time estimates in mind maps.
We would like to use the mind map view for work breakdown structures. I would like to see the rollup of sprint points and/or time estimates on the task cards.
This would allow an intuitive overview of which tasks and subtasks have the highest workload.

Would be great to be able to move task and list in the map mind mode of taskmode

I say either integrate with an existing creative visualising tool like Lucidchart, or ClickUp to develop their own mind mapping utility to be as awesomely feature-rich and natively fully integrated. As it currently stands, the mind map view is woefully missing its deeper use.
ClickUp should StepUp to fill the void in this area. Mind mapping is an essential method of visually brain-dumping in order to sort through that mental mess. Not everyone finds it easy to organise their thoughts and intentions using lines of text in folders from the offset.
Sometimes we need to see it all laid out in front of us as clusters of nodes that branch off and interconnect with one another, much like our own neural pathways. We don't first think in linear lists and folders. Those are formed afterwards by our left hemisphere. It helps to initially start laying it all out, quickly rearranging, forming groups, links, notes and ever expanding.
We need more right-brained, visualising tools like whiteboard designs, to initially brain dump rapidly and form related clusters of ideation. From which we would organically produce the more familiar, granular task organisations we currently love.

Being able to print or export a mind map would be incredibly helpful for presentations and office printouts!!

It would be helpful to have a note field option on the Mind Map view, which is already on the Whiteboard view.
