Map View in ClickUp feels clunky compared to other whiteboard tools because the core navigation isn’t optimised for mouse-only use:
  • Zooming: Right now, I need to hold CMD (Mac) + scroll. Every other whiteboard lets me zoom naturally with just the mouse wheel.
  • Dragging / Hand Tool: To move around the board, I have to hold SPACE. Everywhere else, right-click (or middle mouse) automatically engages the hand tool.
Having to use two hands for such basic navigation is a constant hurdle. It slows me down, makes the feature feel awkward and honestly puts me off using it.
Every other mapping tool supports smooth mouse-only navigation if ClickUp did too, I’d happily use Map View over Miro.
