Agreed. In the middle of Sprints Implementation, after having put several hours in this, had to cancel the project and thus lose money with all the hours spent on said project. Totally counterintuitive and money-driven.

please clickup remove this limit of 100 subtask in multiple list please remove this limit this is totally unacceptable and it's totally wrong

We just discovered this limitation, making the product unusable for our tech team. We're too small to go from 5$ / user / month to 20. We feel trapped as we started to put all our documentation into clickup. This is really an agressive upselling technique.
Any suggestion of an alternative product to manage documentation and tickets for a tech team ?

Bruno Laporte i totally agree with you're point i too believe we are trapped in clickup and they are using aggressive upselling technique

Any recent development on removing this ridiculous "feature" of limiting the perhaps only sensible way to run sprints?
Dear ClickUp - I have been a massive advocate and ambassador for ClickUp to everyone I've met, but limiting sprint capabilities to a "plus" plan - twice the cost of a plan which arguably should include something as basic as this - well...it doesn't add up at all with a project management tool, nor with the values and image of the company who provides it.
Keeping a truly basic sprint feature behind a pay wall like this will unfortunately make me and my team leave the otherwise best EMS I have ever used...real sad indeed.

Carsten Houmøller: Sydney Luci N. Any update on this?
I completely agree with Carsten here as this feature is completely essential to run a sprint. Otherwise what I am forced is to use automations, and task linking to emulate a feel of what I have in mind for my workflow.
Please provide us a reason for omitting this from Unlimited plan now that you have moved to ClickUp 3.0 UX
Moreover, I regularly feel that we all are being coerced into moving into higher plans just for 1 or 2 features
Please let us know your teams' thoughts here if you seriously value any feedback

The 1,000 limit is completely counterintuitive - almost punitive - to our organization's attempts at integrating our rapidly growing team and its work onto the platform. Upgrading doubled our costs. This is completely unacceptable!

Reading the comments below - almost 2 years old now! - why isn't there any proper response from Clickup on this? this feature is basic for any team using sprints.

This limitation completely holds up our entire capacity planning system. We build everything, our entire agency's foundational structure, with this feature. This 1000 subtasks limitation came out of nowhere and now I am unable to plan any Sprints moving forward.
Upgrading to Business Plus for the whole team would mean tripling our ClickUp budget. That is not acceptable for this single feature.

Horrible trap, the "Use" of "Subtasks in Multiple Lists" calculating consist of both "Adding" and "Removing" action => One mistake and the whole Work Cycle with ClickUp will be stopped, until you pay for a more expensive plan (And make one more the same mistake but with the bigger quantity of the tasks 🙃)
I think that ClickUp team need to do the things below:
- Solutions that will solve the issue and will be appropriate for users:
- Increase the quantity of feature Usage or make the feature available for All Plans
- Change Usage calculation => Calculate only Added Subtasks instead of calculating the amount of "Adding" or "Removing" actions
- Solutions that will remove "Users confusing"
- Add an explanation of "How usage of Subtasks in Multiple Lists will be calculated" in ClickUp articles or even as a tooltip in the App itself
- Add a widget or page where you will see each "Limited" features usage
Please, add your thoughts about solutions in the replies, maybe it will increase the speed of issue resolving
I hope that ClickUp team will fix this problem quickly!

We had no idea there was a 1,000 limit on this, it's completely ruined our entire project structure. Why is this only available for business plus? We don't need all other functionality in either business or plus, just this one. Please make it available for all plans!
Rich Webb
Just came up across this with a client I strongly urged to move to ClickUp.
I had no idea there was a 1,000 limit on subtasks in multiple lists, which is important for a scaled agile approach.
Certainly going to be cutting back on recommending ClickUp!
Eric Ping
Rich Webb: Yep. It's in the plan comparison, but there's no way someone actually realizes what that means until they've already been in and using Clickup for awhile. By then nobody goes back to look at the feature list. Also, there's no good way to know how many of your quota you've used up. AND it doesn't matter if you delete the subtasks. So we made the mistake of cloning a space with all tasks and subtasks, then deleted it. But.... oops.... we already used up a bunch of quota.
Really feels dirty and underhanded on Clickup's part. SO disappointed.
