Maintain Task Type on Recurring Tasks

When you create a task that repeats as a new task, it does not maintain the task type you assigned it.

Nice to see this on the radar to be fixed. I might have to create an automation like someone else suggested to help correct this oversight while waiting.

This is rather tragic that we are almost a year older and still this isn't fixed. Automation is a workaround for a bug that should never existed.

I created an automation that every time a task is created, and it has a task type of (task), it changes the task type to whatever it should be. Solved my problem.

I would love for when I have a recurring talk that it keeps my task type instead of reverting back to the default type. I even have the list set to a default and it still reverts back to "task"

Attention, this should be treated as a bug

I would really like to see this fix be made, please. It makes no sense for a recurring task not to keep the task type.

Agree - I can't believe this has not been fixed yet....

I have a task type set for recurring tasks that are meetings which track time - it's very annoying to have to manually change the task type for every event. Would love for an update to fix this to automatically retain the assigned task type for each recurrence, even if manually changed after the task is first created.
