If I create a task in a doc, I would like an automatic relationship formed between that task and doc. So within the task, there would be a link/# back to the doc I created it in.

Quality backlinks can also help in search engine optimisation of sites in almost any direction. After all, promotion with the help of crowdsourced links is considered one of the most effective methods. It is only important to find a reliable linkbuilding service.

To add to this work - ensure that links go both ways, and that the links can be created between:
task > doc > heading > block
and
in a document block you can link to a task
and that from document one block you can embed another document block

Notion improved their backlinks today. It can be done inside a document now. I look forward to when ClickUp updates the docs.

And in reverse please, with access to Docs straight from tasks ... and a way to get back again, when you're done working in the doc. Also, very important, you must be able to access docs anywhere -- not necessarily in the same list or folder the task is in!

Add to this automatic docs back links.
Meaning, if I mentioned Doc B in Doc A, I'd expect the automatic link created in Doc B that would point to a mention in Doc A.

I think that this was already implemented around 1 month ago, see capture attached

Great idea!

Zeb: What would be nice is the ability to click on that link to get to exactly where the task is mentioned. Right now it just goes to the top of doc and you have to search for the linked task. Not great when some team members only need to focus on a certain part of the doc, yet they have to scroll through the whole thing.

Maggie Kovacs: Good point! Needs an id.

Zeb: second to this would be able to visualise how the documented are connected .. perhaps in the mind map view?
