Link tasks to more than one List
complete

Some tasks are relevant for more than one project. I would be great to be able to host the same task in multiple projects or lists and that every update on the tasks is visible in eached linked project or list.

If the status categories differ in lists, I can not get the task to see in board view of the second list, since the status only from the original list is possible for the task. This makes it useless to me, since I have the task in two lists but I only can use the board view for one list (original one). The second list board view stays empty. Is there a work around?

Dominique Kosse: Hi Dominique, have you ever found a solution for this problem ? Thank you.

So glad if this is implemented to subtask also

Hi Nick, I'm asking you after 1 month of your above reply, should we still expect this feature in July ? or any appx date ?
Adding subtasks to multiple lists or Sprints clickapp release in July ?

So glad you implemented this. Would it be possible that if you drag a folder over a task or a highlighted group of tasks it would add it to the dragged folder plus retain it in the origin folder? This would be faster and a welcome addition to the other methods of spanning folders?

Besides the problems already mentioned below, I also noticed that a task will not appear on a list's gantt chart if it's not its original parent list

Lucas Schapira: This was discussed below and CU have advised it's a known issue... and there's a separate request to upvote: https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/show-tasks-in-multiple-lists-on-gantt-chart-for-both-lists
Lucas Schapira
Emma-Jane Johnston: thanks, upvoted!

Also noticing that a tasks status column is appearing out of order in the multi-homed list. eg see my backlogged task below in IT (default home) and then added to !D (secondary home). The tasks status column is just tacked on the end. Statuses are grouped by not started, active, done. So the status in column in !D should at least appear in a relative position.

After investing multiple days in trying to somehow utilize this feature, no successful workaround could be found.
Whatever workaround was tried, it got stuck in the middle - DUE TO NON-IMPLEMENTATION OF SUB-TASKS SUPPORT as part of this feature.
Now abandoned the thought of using this Most-voted but Only Partially-Implemented feature which left the most crucial sub-tasks sub-feature out of scope while implementing it.
Not sure how CU team was using it before it's release.
It would be better if CU team can make a video on it and show us all how they used this feature without sub-tasks support and without Losing the structure of all their tasks and lists in doing so !!

GS: Agree. Need support for subtasks

Multi-homed tasks are also not working with google calendar sync. eg if I add a task to another list and then sync that space (for that list) to google calendar the multi-home tasks do not show up in google calendar
Jan Dvořák
Tim Jasper: The same can be said to the API situation - I am using Integromat and it cannot detect the task addition to a secondary list. API does see the task in the home list ONLY, which is bad.

Jan Dvořák: maybe add your findings to the bug list https://clickup.canny.io/bugs/p/multi-listed-multi-homed-task-issues

Without subtasks, this improvement unfortunately will not be fully used.
