Link LineUp with Tray order
Chad DuPriest
The tray is an excellent way for me to keep track of my priorities, but my manager can't see or control it. If LineUp could mirror and adjust the Tray order, I think that would prove useful

Does anyone know of a blog post or a design document where ClickUp explains why they build LineUp and Try this way, and how they intended them to be used? I haven't found one. Powerful features with no guidance.

Yes, this is a great idea. Having the LineUp available quickly will allow us to really use it as a daily ToDo-list. For small tasks that I plan to complete within one day I don't want to move to a specific folder, create a task etc. So I am currently using the Notepad for not forgetting about these tasks. Having the LineUp available quickly maybe would allow me to use it for this purpose.

Waleed Elaghil any news here? I just wanted to write the same!
LineUp and the tray list are kind of duplicates and anyway LineUp isn't very helpful in this single-line-display on the Home page. On the other side, the "Minimize Tray" functionality is great and our team loves it. Please merge both and simply show the LineUp as Minimize Tray which would allow managers to see and manage the items and it would be a lot more helpful for the team! :)
Thanks!

Hey Chad DuPriest! That's a great idea. I'll surface this to the team 🙂

+1,000 for this! My team uses the tray, but the line up is the only place where we can see what each other is working on. So that means duplicating the effort to create a line up and then adding them all to the tray. Too many extra clicks.
Plus, we focus on the tray, so we don't update the line up until the next day before our team meeting, so the info is often outdated within minutes after our meeting.
Being able to toggle on a "sync lineup with tray" would be fabulous! It would allow team members to get a real-time view of what others are working on.

Gretchen Cawthon: Waleed Elaghil I very much 2nd Gretchen's suggestion to make this feature a
TOGGLE
. I use LineUp a bit differently: my weekly goals go into LineUp, whereas my Tasktray is for things I'm in the middle of literally right now -- keeping them separate would be ideal. That said, we need better ways to add things to my Lineup with a lot less button-clicks! I should be able to right-click on a task on the Home-page and add it to my Lineup, for example.

+1 for making this an option. I would prefer the tray sync with LineUp but I bet a lot of other ppl don't want to use it that way.
