Let GPT 5 Power Clickup Brain

Since Clickup is deep in openai ecosystem, please upgrade the underlying model powering Clickup Brain's searching and writing with GPT-5 full version instead of 4o.
Searching is still very bad with Brain and it's writing could be improved heavily.

This is under development for both the Ask AI and Brain.

Dionis Loire Hi! This would be really powerful if we could select the AI model. Having the option to choose between different models (like GPT-4o, GPT-5, or others) would allow us to tailor the AI’s performance for specific needs—whether it’s for more advanced searching, better writing, or faster responses. 🙏🏽

Nicky Salido: That makes perfect sense! I believe the initial version may not support switching between models mid-conversation. For example, if you start with a Claude model and later want to switch to a GPT model, you would need to start a new thread. Would that be a blocker for your use case?
Derek Cummings
Use Claude or Gemini instead for the increased context window.

Thanks Shreyansh Jain! Yes, we're considering switching the underlying model powering brain from GPT-4.1 to GPT-5. It's a lot more work than it seems and we need to proceed carefully, so stay tuned :)
Improving AI Search and Writing Tools are separate ongoing projects — there's a lot we can do there without having to switch.

Shreyansh Jain pleasure! FYI we've made some progress on that front but will first be implementing this for Agents and then later Brain :)
