Instant loading when clicking task description

When clicking into the task description field, there shouldn't be an additional loading, it should be preloaded when opening the task, as it's most likely the first things being interacted with. Especially if it's empty.

did anyone get this figured out? I'm having this same issue now.

This occurs to me on every single task. I'm not sure what it has to load, because it's already showing me the description, but after clicking the description it has to load for 2-5 seconds before I can use it. The description is the second most important field, after the title. This can add 15 minutes to my workday when I'm using ClickUp a lot, and it just breaks my flow constantly. (That's aside from how hard it is to click the Description button and not the Write with AI button right below it which is the same size. I miss when the description was a big clickable field that was hard to miss because it's always what I click on next.)

100 Percent! We think there is a bug here where certain areas are getting stuck. Do you hit this often?

Ivan Villa: I mean this little loading wheel. I don't think it's a bug, it happens every time with every task, no matter the content. This is an empty one, for example. What I am saying is that when I open a task, the first step is usually to click into the description field to edit it, especially in new tasks but also existing ones. And it just should show a scrolling wheel. Preloading this part should have priority over many other components in the task.

Ivan Villa: any news on this? I'm having to refresh the page several times a day as the description load stalls out.
