Insert current date/time into doc

Is there a way to insert today's date and/or current time into a doc? If not, I'd like to request a new feature.
As a clickUp user, I'd like a way to insert the current date and/or time into a doc so that I don't have to look up the current date or time and manually enter it into a doc.
I like using the doc feature to do a daily journal. Rather than having different docs for each day, I'd like to have one doc as a rolling journal. having an easy way to insert the current date/time would be extremely helpful.

The Excel hotkeys would be perfect, (CTRL+; CTRL+SHIFT+;) but /now would be a compromise. I'm tired of typing the date over and over.

This would be great (date time stamp) as a productivity shortcut to keep track of notes. Will be waiting for this

I would love to see this as a feature something like {{date}} to insert the current date automatically in a template would be <3 <3 <3

I have been requesting this for a while, and the request just gets closed. There's confusion with requesting this and other features already in place like a 'start date', 'end date' etc. All want is a short key entry to log a custom info. eg. day, month, year time, or variants of.
i see your post is from 2020! - With the desktop app, it is still in Feb 2023 not possible. With the MAGICAL extension, (( here FREE for chrome - https://tinyurl.com/26kbr2yr - Links to the chrome store )) which is a free browser extension, it is possible and more. You can even have preloaded text and insert on short codes, eg. 2 x slash presses, and dd is what I have set to insert the date and time in that format (which is customisable).
It just makes sense to have that in terms of eg. phone call notes and logging interactions or rolling journal of events and incidents.

Being able to timestamp notes would be a super useful feature.

I need this badly, especially for keeping track of changes, journalling changes in our documentation, etc.

My workflow also came from Excel where Ctrl + ; enters today's date, and CTRL+SHIFT+; enters today's time.
Now in ClickUp we update on tasks progresses on a text custom field (long form)
Typing dates and time all over again is just a big waste of time. My eyes roll every time I have to update on Click Up.
If Excel can do it in 2010, Google sheets can follow suit, then Click Up can get this shortcut key LIVE yesterday :)
ClickUp Devs, giddy up!
