More flexible scheduling options in ClickUp are definitely needed.

Right now, due dates seem to do too much, they act as the deadline, scheduling anchor, and recurrence anchor all at once.

It's then too hard to plan recurring work that should appear on a schedule but doesn’t always have a true due date.

It would help to allow tasks to be scheduled or recur without requiring a due date, add a separate scheduling date/anchor, and give more control over recurrence patterns such as specific months, week patterns, or day patterns.

Eg. Put the dates to reschedule this, and have a tickbox to select which months of the year to schedule it. Eg. it is a monthly job that only gets scheduled 2 out of 3 months. So i can tick Jan,Feb,Apr,May,Jul,Aug,Oct,Nov.

They could do the same for weekly, select which weeks it is. And the same for daily, select which days of the week. rather than having to create all these extra tasks.
