Include slug in URL for task
Thijs Rovers
The ClickUp URL's for a task only contain the (custom) task ID. But that does not make the task human recognizable from the URL. To understand what the task is about you would have to open the link, which takes some time since ClickUp is not very fast when openend in new tab.
My suggestion is to include a slug in the URL. The slug should be based on the title of the task. This makes it instantly clear what this task is being linked to. For example:
- Current task URL - https://app.clickup.com/t/1234/5678abc
- Suggested task URL - https://app.clickup.com/t/1234/5678abc/my-example-task
URL previews often help, but they are not always enabled, depending on the system in which URL's are shared.
Note: it should be considered to do the same for links to lists, views, folders, etc.
