The inbox icon disappears when you have a List or task open (unless you hover over it). Could you move it to the top right - next to the Note pad icon so it's visible all of the time?

Also, could you give us the option to put all notifications in one place? I'm not sure the reasoning behind breaking out "important" and "Other." I'd rather have all notifications in one place.
