Import from ClickUp
LaToya Davidson-Perez
Right now it's now possible to move one ClickUp Space from one Workplace (Team) to another Workplace (Team).
I'm a freelancer who works in administrative support for clients with employees or other freelancers and so it is not always appropriate for them to just live within my Workplace. I encourage my clients to create their own Workplaces and assist them in the design of their Spaces.
Now that they're using ClickUp it would be best to move my Spaces (or tasks, etc.) for each client group to their new Workplace. There is no "easy" way to do so. It would be nice if in addition to being able to import from Asana and other programs, to also do a ClickUp to ClickUp import/export.

Yes ! Major problem for us here as well.
You can export stuff as .csv only and clickup doesn't work very well when importing it's own export. Which is problematic.
There should be a way to export in a clickup format so that the import into clickup is flawless.
I work between businesses sometimes on joint project and dealing with multiple workspaces is a PAIN !

This is a major pain point in Clickup when being freelancer/consultant. I noticed today that you will be charged per Workspace, which is of course one more problem here. Why should we pay x times the same amount for Workspaces we don't even use that much ? We have only 24h per day right ? ...
Whatever the way we want to use this configuration I can't urge enough to change from those over-complicated structure (Workspaces > spaces > folders > lists ..) to the so perfect vision that implemented Notion : unlimited Folders and Sub-folders > meaning extreme flexibility to move things around, and thus solving the actual issue.
I've already written a lot about this in other topics, because it related to so many things.
Hoping to see you at Clickup moving the actual vision to what we NEED instead of what you WANT.

Yes.... great when your a consultant working with different clients and need to setup a client similar to a previous client.

I totally agree. I'm working with Clickup for my business and also my private tasks and projects. I often change my structure to fit my needs or my projects better and it would be great if I could just easily import from a different workspace. That way I'd be much more flexible in my structure.
And if that is not possible, that at least make sure that you can map all the existing fields from a Clickup-created CSV during import to a new workspace. Possibly allow for the creation of custom fields right during import if the plan allows for that.
