Hide custom field date in tasks while in calendar view
Bryson Liu
I love that you can have a calendar view and make it so that the dates shown for tasks are based on a custom field rather than the start/end date. However, it would be nice if that custom field could be hidden on the task itself. Right now, it always shows that custom field, and it takes up a lot of space in the calendar view that isn't necessary. In my screenshot, you'll see that it says "Send Date: Yesterday" which isn't necessary. It's already placed on the "Send Date" in the calendar itself, so it's redundant, and takes up space that could be used to display another task instead. I would rather that be hidden, or at least have the option to hide it.

YESSS!! We are using this view for a content calendar, and it's very crowded already. We like the option to display the other custom fields (e.g. channel) on the view but displaying the date is redundant and taking up precious space. The functionality to turn fields on/off in the view already exists so whilst it could be turned on by default, it seems logical to be able to hide the selected custom task date like any other field.

I 100% agree. I recently stumbled into this issue myself. I can understand defaulting to show the field name (and correspondingly the field data) as a visual cue that the user selected a different date field as the source, but we should have the option to toggle it off. It is incredibly redundant and clunky to display the field name and the date on the calendar view. I'm amazed no one else has encountered this in the last year!
