Hide closed tasks from relationships

I have a main task that contains relationships to other tasks, and need to hide any tasks that are closed so they don't appear in the relationship view. I don't want to have to unlink each task once it's completed, just so that it doesn't continue to show up on the main task.

There needs to be a relationship option to automatically unlink or hide linked tasks that have been closed. This way several things are taken care of when you mark a task as closed. As it stands you have to hunt down any links and remove them if you don't want to see the closed ones.

100% this!!! I want to be able to look at a client record and see only the current open projects and tasks, NOT the last 6 years worth of finished work.
Saved filters on lists is just extra work when all the data is already in the system and could be accessed with a single click

Absolutely! We agree 100%. Similar to subtasks or checklist items in tasks, it would be great to be able to choose the visibility. Or just hide/unlink the closed ones without possibility to show them.

An alternative method would involve allowing us to automate relationships which could be triggered via a status change.
