Height of groups in new board view need to be variable (Swimlanes)
Malte Völkner
With the new board view that was just released, the maximum height of swimlanes/groups in a board is a fixed amount. I use (or: used!) the board view daily to sort feedback to tickets, and now only 5 (or a few more if I select the small card size) are shown at once, and I have to scroll inside that column to see the rest.
I would’ve expected a setting in Board Settings to change this between fixed height and make the box as large as needed for the amount of items in that swimlane.

We absolutely need to hide empty subgroups (old swim lanes). It just takes up entirely too much screen real estate for no value add and expand the size of the subgroups to match the number of cards within them and not be a fixed height - loss of visibility into the overall work count is bad.

Additionally - the new method makes it virtually impossible to get a big picture view of your portfolio of work
Twice as much scrolling - no way to see everything at once.

The New fixed height swimlanes has made boards unusable and the original Board format is the main reason I went with Clickup.
I would love to see a toggle off for this so that I can return to the original, dynamic heights instead of having to scroll through large empty spaces.
Currently using Miro for all of my work because boards are now useless.

I’m disappointed to see this issues, caused by the Board View Revamp https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/board-view-revamp, is now a new request that’s not yet "In Progress" or even "Planned".
It looks like it’s back to Jira for swimlanes for me.

I think this is a related request that could be done at the same time → https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/hide-empty-swimlanes
