Group by relationship type
Waleed Elaghil
[From Brendan Jones] Can dependencies be grouped by relationship type in the list? Right now Blocking and Waiting On tasks are mixed up (maybe in order of addition to the task?). Waiting On should be on top.

Fully agree, much needed. Notion.so does this brilliantly -- Each relationship creates a linked task that has its own complete information. Then, grouping by relationship enables immediate access to the critical information in each of the linked tasks. Thank you!

Kirk Henderson 100% agree. The fact I have to go back and forth to add the tasks needed first and then go back into the list is so much wasted time. I actually have to also then add a relationship in each list to each other and then manually add all the relationships twice, once in each list. This is such a time drain when we're trying to be a productive as possible.

¡Please! It can not be that hard

Franchescoly Leiva: this feature is not what you think it is. See my comment below explaining.

I think some people are getting confused about what this feature request is. It's really small and simple.
To clarify, when in
task
view, the 'blocking' and 'waiting on' tasks are jumbled up together. I assume they're ordered by the order in which they were added to the task. This is not handy. It should be that first all 'waiting on' tasks are listed, then any 'blocking' tasks.
This request is nothing to do with filtering in list view Jake Spirek

Brendan W FYI that "Group by a Relationship custom field" request you merged in doesn't belong here.

Brendan Jones: makes sense. I agree it would be helpful to group them by type. Would also be nice to be able to rearrange items in any of the Relationships list. Thanks for clarifying.

Yes please! Here's a sample use case:
I want to create a list of projects and group them by Client. The Client is a relationship to a task in a list called Clients.
For some reason, I do have the ability to group by some of the linked items, like assignee (in this case I called it "Client Owner").
UPDATE: I've moved this request here, since the original requester is asking for something else. https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/group-by-relationship-field-in-views

This would also be a huge part of swimlanes!
Thanks!

Should note that this is in Task View.
