Group by in Gantt View

It would be great if tasks could be grouped (and collapsed) in a Gantt view the way they can be in a list view.
This would be particularly useful for custom fields. For example if you have a custom dropdown field for region, period, customer, product, program, etc. it would be great to be able to see all tasks with each dropdown field value grouped together.

Hi, for either the gantt chart or the timeline could we please have something similar to this view in the image below?
We are running multiple projects so we need to see:
The different phases in a single line (like timeline and not the layered view in the gantt as this is very complicated with all the different lines ie. list line and then task lines etc).
We also need to see which team member is allocated to those projects so that we can see if they are oversubscribed on a high level or not (see heat map).
We also need to see who the team lead is on those various projects.
We are almost there with the timeline view but there are elements missing such as assignee, time estimate options. if it could also pull in the time tracked so far then we would also be able to compare the time estimated for the project vs actual time it took to complete the project (in numbers on the column on the left would be good).

guys this is a big limitation. anything you do in clickup is useless unless you are able to group by. for example sections, stages etc, in waterfall structures/

Any update on this one ? It's been on « PLANNED » for over a year now I see... :-) Really looking forward to be able to group !

I believe that this request also solves the limit that we encounter in the SDLC management of evolutionary companies.
In the current view, the sub-activities are grouped on their parent activities. But this does not allow you to have a view of the Gantt with a chronological order of the tasks...
It would be useful to be able to ungroup by parent activity.

I'd like to "sort by" and "group by" dependencies.

This would allow us to create a Custom Field that is a Goal, and then visualise all Tasks within that Goal on a Gantt view, along with all our other Goals.
This is not presently possible to do. As you cannot group by Custom Field, you have to have one parent Task for each Goal in order to do this, which is unworkable for other reasons.
