Similar to several comments in this thread there seems to be no simple way to create permissions around templated items, which therefore allows the template to be changed without consent.
Any permission lower than 'Full Edit' does not allow a user to create a new task which I feel extremely limits the use of the other permission levels.

Currently, the “Share with” setting in Template Center controls who can view a template, but it also affects who can manage or edit it. This causes permission confusion.
Please add a separate permission setting for managing templates, so admins or specific users can control and edit templates, while others can only view or use them.
Benefit:
Clear permission control, better template governance, and reduced risk of unauthorized template changes

It would be nice to control who can and can't edit Templates.
In a larger organization it will be difficult to tell who is making changes.

It is wild that this was requested over 4 years ago and there are still no permission restrictions around this. This is an issue for our team as well, particularly with team members creating templates. Our project management team has a process for creating templates and now we have team members disrupting that process. It would be nice to remove their ability to create templates altogether.
