This is one of the few really missing features of clickup for a proper PM, I strongly advice about this feature. Input = start date, duration. End date is always an output, and it has to be monitored

It'd be really helpful to have the option to add a minimum task duration column. We might plan 2 months for a task in our schedule, but we know it absolutely can't be less than 6 weeks. And then have that min. duration block any rescheduling of that task that would cause the dates to be less than 6 weeks.

Yes, it is a make it or break feature, and not very complicated to implement given the wealth of date libraries in existance, that could calculate now()+X days ahead (with nuances such as remove weekends, at least if not holidays).

Absoulutely need a gantt view for estimated time to be able to predict how long a project willl take, this is essential! the only work around i can see is to set up fake manual dates based on the time estimates and go from there???

I don't understand that this is not yet integrated. It's a must for any PM system

This is basic functionality of a Gantt Chart. Not only should it display duration, but you should also be able to enter a tasks duration from the start date. E.g. - starts: tomorrow; Duration: one year; then end date automatically populates one year and one day. Please work to add this immediately. Without duration, the Gantt Chart is worthless. Without the Gantt Chart, this is not really project management software. You need someone on your team that has experience in waterfall project management.

-Add Duration
-When adding Start date from Gantt View it automatically opens the Due date dialog box. Change to open Start Date
-Ability to move items into different lists in Gantt View, currently only possible from List or table view
- Allow import Export of MSProject files (MPP and XML)
- Add column for Predecessor and Successors
- When you manually update the date it doesn't reschedule dependencies of the linked tasks out like it does when you drag the bar

Thanks for the suggestions! Adrian Wellman
As this is a few different requests, I am going to merge this with https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/gantt-view-add-task-duration-as-a-column-option. I also recommend you check out these other requests and add your votes there.

This is a massive missing feature for my team. "Start" and "End" are only two pieces of the data I occasionally need to reference, and inferring "Duration" from the two is arduous and backwards for such a powerful system. Absolutely essential need.

I want to comment here to help the developers understand how absolutely vital "duration" is for a gantt chart. The whole point of a gantt chart is that you enter your tasks with a duration and dependencies, and the gantt chart populates the workflow.
Now you know not just how long the project will take, but also about when you need to purchase items or schedule contractors for upcoming tasks. Without duration, Gantt charting is completely useless. There is a labor-intensive work around (add a Start date and end date that reflects your duration, then use the "Reschedule Dependencies" option to provide the correct timeline.) This is like having an email program with a work-around to "send" a message.
This is so disappointing because everything else about this program is spot-on, including the gold star customer support. But this one missing functionality completely kills it for any real project manager. I'm going to put in the leg work to work around for this project, because I've already invested days of work uploading my tasks, assuming the gantt chart had basic functionality. If there's no duration by the time I start my next project, I'll have to go with a different program. That would be such a bummer!
PS. A note to the developers. Start date, end date, and duration need to be entirely separate entities. Just because I'm starting a task on Jan 1 and it is due on Jan 27 doesn't mean that it will take me 27 days (duration) to complete that task. Don't hesitate to reach out for input! I really want this to work!
