Being able to add tasks on the gantt and timeline views is fantastic for project planning. For management meetings or simplicity while putting the plan together, it would be extremely helpful to use color coding that differs from the status.
As a feature, it would be great if I could choose the category field for setting the color on the Gantt and Timeline views. For example, I want to visualize the different teams working on the project at the same time. So one half of my items might be for team 1 and the other half for team 2. This helps me plan what teams are working on in a single view as well as catch possible problems with the plan.

We can color code by custom field elsewhere but not in Gantt charts, I'd love to see that ability prioritized.

This feature would make construction scheduling in click up much more feasible and would be extremely valuable!

This function needs to be added to the Gantt view and would make scheduling jobs with multiple tasks and phases a lot better.

It would be great to change the text color in Gantt view for open tasks. The Background is light grey and the text is white. When the bar is wide, the text is shown inside and is then barely readable.

Definitely need to be able to color code Gantt by custom fields! This functionality is available on Timeline view already, just need it on Gantt as well!

In Project Management is very very important the Gantt Diagram users interface for clients report. It's very important allow to customize it. Many others tool allow it.
