Hello. Wanted to share I recently experienced some significant unexplained modification of data on my ClickUp environment. Working with ClickUp Support to solve it, but this would have taken just a few minutes to revert if backups were available to end users.
For now, the only option, which is not a complete backup, but may be very helpful, is to regularly export to CSV

I can only confirm all the below suggestions about the critical importance to have a way to create a separate (local) backup for a lot of purposes (archive, restore, space saving, etc.

As many already said, this feature is a basic standard required feature for any minimally mature companies. We are planning to use clickup's apis as workaround, but I honestly doubt this will last long due to the enormous effort required to do a simple backup.

Seems also related to https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/ability-to-export-custom-fields-reports, I think with this feature we expect to have a sort of backup too.

Tried the service out for a week and created a bunch of different workspaces, etc.
Business wants to proceed in a different direction for now and ClickUP was the top choice when we eventually want to migrate everything we have from google sheets BUT we found the lack of an easy way to export everything we worked in in the past week super disappointing and non negotiable.
Businesses like us who STRICTLY follow the 3-2-1 rule in backups will never be able to permanently work on a service that doesn't allow easy backups.
This should have been a core feature that DOES NOT need to be requested. It's 2024.
Everyone should have 3 different copies of data in 2 different mediums (online and offline) and 1 copy being kept off-site AT THE BARE MINIMUM.
When will people learn?
For the single reason, we will not be including ClickUP as one of the choices later this year. Such a pity as I have been pretty vocal about using ClickUP in our organization as the best contender.

Just recently went through a recovery process with the ClickUp support team wasting their resources and time. It would be such a great feature to have the data auto-backup on an external server, even locally on my PC.

Absolutely necessary for guaranteeing Business Continuity, Project Management Data Integrity and more.
An external application (like HYCU or ClicksVault or Clickup Backup Pro) or special software development (via API) should NOT be required to achieve this really fundamental need.
Backups should be COMPLETE (i.e. they must include ALL data) and suitable for "bare metal" recovery (e.g. in a new Workspace) without additional cost in any paid plan.

We need this to implement a disaster recovery protocol that's required by upper management.

That would be a great feature, we need to have access to our data.
