I use Gantt view to project manage using ADDIE methodology (Analyse, Design Develop, Implement and Evaluate. So this gives me 5 over arching Tasks (stages). Under Analyse may be 7 different subtasks each having several additional subtasks. Think 1 > 1.7 >1.7.3
It makes sense to build the project plan directly into ClickUp as opposed to finalising the whole design before building in ClickUp, projects are always fluid. But there is high frustration with it not easily being able to re-order subtasks within a task once built. Lets Say under "Develop" I have 10 Subtasks, then realise that I need to change the order of subtasks 5,6&7. In Gantt view when I pick it up to move it instead of sub task 5 going to subtask 7 and them reordering it actually put subtask 5 as a subtask of subtask 7. - i.e. 2 > 2.5 was meant to become 2 > 2.7 instead it ended up 2 > 2.7.1
The only work around is to open up the parent task and then re-arrange sub tasks within the task "card" then go back to Gantt view. Visually you then have to remember what you wanted to do as you no longer have full Gantt view.
It is just a bit clunky.
