I use clickup in chrome.
Ive noticed that task lists in dashboards sometimes take ages to load or scroll to load more tasks, especially if the card is expanded to full screen.
Being able to expand to full screen is amazing, and so are all the list functionality added to dashboard task lists that reduces clicks and provides more control at the overview. I've created some really useful dashboards that these new features enabled to be possible, as they require bulk edits and overview-level edits. I'm currently not sure whether i will be able to effectively use it with the team on a daily basis if the task list cards take this long to load and sometimes dont load at all or only show the top few tasks.
I need it to be able to handle long task lists woth multiple sorting conditions at speed. Im doing things like waiting for minutes or refreshing the page.
Sometimes it works absolutely fine and other times it seems to never load and would be really disruptive. I would say it either loads quickly or incredibly slowly, with a roughly 50% chance of it being slow, certsinly frequently enough to stop our work in its tracks if we were relying on this list to collaboratively identify our next task will be.

Zeb...
Yes, this is a repeat from another post, but I'm hoping to gain your attention.
Where on earth are we when it comes to speed? I'm actively testing other apps because having to wait on EVERY SINGLE THING I do in ClickUp -
and I do mean...
EVERY
SINGLE
THING
is affecting my teams work and productivity. We need to click a task and have it open immediately, or click into a folder and have it display the content immediately, not wait 10 seconds before we can then click a folder. Just to move from one project to another literally takes between 30 seconds to a minute every single time we have to change!
Now, mobile is faster when it comes to context changing, but we are not working on the mobile - we are working in the windows app or the browser.
Why, why, why are you putting everything else above speed and performance when for three years now, you've been seeing these threads talk about how critical speed is to your users?
PLEASE - we need this put up to the VERY TOP PRIORITY and a real solution rolled out yesterday. I can only speak for myself, but I'll gladly work within two or three environments that all work quickly rather than one that is slow and decrepit.
I stayed on due to the promises of 3.0 and the incredible speed improvements...
WHERE ARE THEY???
Update...
I turned the Chrome window into an app (Settings/More Tools/Create Shortcut - Check the box to "Open as Window"), and interestingly, the response time when navigating is much faster. I'll test this and give another update after a few days.

Hey, Michael,
Thank you for sharing this feedback with us, and apologies that you’re experiencing slow speeds in ClickUp.
Slow speeds can have many different root causes. Specifics about your environment, account, and impacted features allow us to test, reproduce, and resolve. Our Technical Support team is always available to assist you with any sudden issues or concerns. Please don't hesitate to reach out to them using this link: https://help.clickup.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
Additionally, we are underway with rolling our ClickUp 3.0 in two separate phases: the product experience and infrastructure improvements. The infrastructure improvements will directly target performance & reliability.
We've migrated a small set of our user base to the new infrastructure and are on track to move all workspaces by the end of October.
Migration will happen automatically without any action required by your team.
We’re listening, we hear your frustration, and we’re going to get this fixed.

Luci N. Coming in as a user of both ClickUp 3.0 Product Experience and Infrastructure already enabled, while the experience is improved over 2.0, I still find it not as snappy as other products like Notion or Asana. I'm sure you guys are working hard on improvements but switching lists is still a mess.
Loading times could be much better maybe with some sort of local caching or edge caching in regional data centers.
As for the Mobile Apps, they're pretty much unusable if I'm on a slow internet. Maybe an offline mode for docs would help for people who are tracking personal tasks and notes.
I had to move my startup away from ClickUp due to speed issues and while I'm still using personally and the product is basically perfect except for the performance, speed is not something that can be compromised on. Jira and Confluence suffer similar speed issues, hence making a market for more bleeding tech products. I hope for ClickUp to remain one of those.

Don't know if this is the right place for this, but attachment uploads have always been crazily slow. It would be great if they could be made faster.
A 5MB PDF can take a minute to upload on a 17MB/s upload connection. It should really be done in a couple of seconds.
No other sites/apps have this problem, so there must be a bottleneck somewhere in ClickUp.

Presumably this will be closed when ClickUp 3.0 launches?
Management
Ethan Whitted: Not really, the backend optimisation is not coming with the "summer launch" of 3.0; is so sad that all Clickup resources went to woken marketing and none to the actual product and engineering
Ethan Whitted
Management: Huh, that's an interesting interpretation of ClickUp's internal workings. I don't believe they dedicated all of their marketing and none to product or engineering, but thanks for sharing your opinion!

Fast, accurate, prompt are so much more important than adding new features. If I can't trust the software, then any shiny feature will not encourage me to use the software to begin with. It currently takes so long to load lists, and added/changed tasks are not updated promptly without reloading the screen. Other members are therefore not seeing the changes either, which of course negates the purpose of a team management software.

Quite surprised how SLOW the UI is compared to other productivity tools - which I thought were already not the fastest. Performance def needs to come up, changes and space loads can feel crippling at times.

my hope was, that its becoming faster - but it seems that CU 3.0 is rolling out in summer in 6 month ?
it s lagging so badly atm that i can not use it atm

New to clickup but I can see how this is aggravating for everyone. Every time I make a change to a task, move a task, or add a subtask I need to refresh and confirm it worked properly. Usually can only handle one change at a time. I wish I could just trust it and move on but I spend a good 15 seconds on each change making sure it reflects.
