Form Submittal to Doc
Holly Peck
I would like the ability to populate answers from a form into a ClickUp doc on any page in predetermined areas using <FIRST NAME> <ADDRESS> or any other fields like <ANSWER TO QUESTION #1> to tell the form data where to go inside the document.

Yes! I don't know why this isn't a basic available feature. For writing proposals at work - currently I fill in a Google Form for a new project, it auto-populates to a Google Sheet. Then a Google Doc is automatically created using my proposal template with the fields {{Client Name}}, {{Date Received}}, {{Project Name}} etc. populated accordingly. ClickUp doesn't play nice reading the Google Form info in creating tasks yet (I use Make.com for crossing over), so it was recommended I use ClickUp Forms so the info is automatically going into ClickUp Tasks correctly. However, the ClickUp Docs has no way to link Form entries or even task fields information in anyway (?!) - the customer service recommendation was to manually copy paste.... So i'm stuck with Google Forms/Docs and clunky task creation until ClickUp can add this basic level feature.

Forms for Docs

I use clickup for onboarding, this involves getting information from new members of staff. Used to all be done by email but that's a recipe for lost information.
I would love to be able to send a form link that asks for all the information I need and then puts it in a new doc, rather than a task.
Thank you!

Yes this would be fantastic.
I'd love to be able to send a form to a client for a creative brief and have that populate a general doc in that project and not a specific task!

This is similar to problem I have, I would like to include various fields from a form submission in to a simple document that can be sent to a customer. This could be either be a task description or a doc - I just need simple formatting and live inclusion of form fields into a document. My workflow is as follows - customer completes form>my team process form and create a reference number>my team emails document to customer with fields from the form and our new reference number.

You could add all the answers in the form to a task description and then copy and paste to a doc. Would that work? Or, if they are using ClickUp they could complete a doc template.

Martin Gammon: thanks Martin that's a great idea. They'll all be outside clickup so the form is the way to go, it just feels neater without me having to do copy paste delete work , but as things are I think you've sorted out the workflow. Thanks!

It would be great if the Form submittal generated into a Doc, and then attached itself to the clickUp task that it creates. That way we have a hard copy of the Form submittal as well as the electronic task itself.
