Folders (or version groups) for task attachments
Nic Sayers
We're a real estate media company running dozens of video and photo projects a week. Each project gets several rounds of uploads (v1, v2, v3, final, branded, unbranded, vertical), and right now they all land in one flat attachment list on the task. Once a project gets past a couple of revisions, it's hard to tell which file is current, which version the client approved, and what changed between rounds. Multiply that across our whole board and it gets messy fast.
What we'd love:
Folders inside a task's attachments section (e.g. "v1", "v2", "Final"), so we can upload into a folder and collapse or expand it
Ability to mark one folder or file as Current/Approved
Version labels that show up in the task's activity, so the team can see when a new round was added
Bonus: auto-create a new version folder when a file with the same name gets uploaded again
Why it matters: Our editors, QC, and clients all touch the same task. Clean version grouping would cut down on wrong-file deliveries, make revision tracking easier, and help us enforce our revision policy without workarounds like extra subtasks.
Thanks for considering it!
