Flexible Group By

Currently List Views seem to force the grouping by Space/Project/List/Status and it's not possible to view tasks in the List view without having them grouped. This is particularly problematic when for example you want to see or rank in which you want to tackle your tasks across all the spaces/projects/lists.
What would be most helpful is to have flexibility over grouping in the list view. That is, it should be possible to see tasks grouped by just the Status across all Spaces/Projects/Lists or all tasks grouped by Space and Status but without grouping by Project and List. It should then be possible to drag-drop to rearrange the ranking of tasks. Having the ability to control the grouping would give users the control to slice and dice the data as they see fit.
Ability to do visual grouping in the board views would also be very helpful. This is semi possible by selecting a space/project/list but you then loose the context and ability to view in a single screen.
There's already a feature request to Group By for List View but what I'm suggesting is more broad support for a grouping concept. It should be possible to group in which ever way you want that makes sense for you rather than being forced to group in a particular way.

Conditional logic from grouping views

It would be great to be able to make list view grouping conditions.
For example, to have all my "In process" task grouped at the top, and the the rest of the list not be grouped so that column sorting can organise the rest!
