I would like to be able to restrict the creation and deletion of task based custom fields to administrators but allow greater flexibility for super users to create custom fields on lists to support their projects.
Currently the non admin users that can create / delete fields can also do that on task type fields putting at risk the setup of the system across multiple teams.

Thank you for the feedback! We're actively working on more granular role controls at the hierarchy level — specifically, the ability to scope who can create and manage custom fields and task types by location (workspace, space, folder, list). The goal is to let admins lock down the high-risk, system-wide fields while still giving super users the flexibility they need at the list level. Would that address your use case? Would love to hear if there are edge cases we should be thinking about as we design this.
