Enable Pasting of Delimited Email Lists in "To", "Cc", "Bcc" Fields
Anh Do
Hello ClickUp Team,
The current implementation of the "Email from Comment" feature does not support adding multiple recipients by pasting a delimited list (e.g., comma-separated or semicolon-separated). When a user pastes a string of multiple email addresses into the "To", "Cc", or "Bcc" fields, the system treats the entire string as a single, invalid email address instead of parsing it into individual recipients.
This requires users to add each recipient one by one manually, which is highly inefficient and time-consuming.
Use Case & Impact:
As a project coordinator, my daily workflow involves sending updates, reports, and instructions to various groups of stakeholders, students, or team members. Often, these email lists are generated from other applications like Excel or our internal database.
The inability to simply copy and paste a list of 10, 20, or more emails directly into the Bcc field creates a significant workflow bottleneck. It turns a quick task into a tedious, manual process that is also prone to errors (e.g., accidentally missing a recipient).
Proposed Solution:
Please enhance the email recipient fields ("To", "Cc", "Bcc") to correctly parse pasted strings of text containing multiple email addresses. The system should be able to recognize standard delimiters, primarily commas (,) and semicolons (;).
For example, when a user pastes email1@example.com; email2@example.com, email3@example.com, the field should automatically create three separate recipient tags for each valid email address.
This is standard, expected behavior in virtually all modern email clients and would make the "Email from Comment" feature immensely more powerful and aligned with user expectations for efficiency.
Thank you for considering this essential functionality improvement.
