Description:
Currently, in the ClickUp iOS app, video and audio playback stops as soon as the screen is locked or the user switches to another app. This makes it impossible to listen to voice messages, meeting recordings, or video instructions in the background.
Why this is important:
  • Users can’t always keep their screens on — especially when listening to long recordings.
  • It limits the usability of ClickUp for teams who rely on voice notes or video updates.
  • Background playback is standard in most modern apps (YouTube, Telegram, Notion, etc.), and its absence feels restrictive.
Suggested solution:
  • Add background playback support for audio and video in the ClickUp iOS App:
  • Continue playback when the screen is turned off or the user switches apps.
  • Allow playback controls through system media controls (Lock Screen, Control Center).
Expected behavior:
When the screen is locked or another app is opened, audio or video started in ClickUp should continue playing without interruption.
