I tried to use it in following case: insert an image in the left cell, and the corresponding text in the right cell. But when i insert an image, text block moved to the same place where the bottom of the image located, and i can't use full cell height for description, it's really frustrating.

Zeb: Agreed, and also in the Description. I find myself copying tables from onenote and/or outlook in the descriptions and docs and it doesn't always play nice. Comments won't hurt either! =]

Jenn Feliz: About copying from OneNote - the formatting doesn't copy over, does it? I have to reformat it all again

A: Hey there,
For me, it doesn't from OneNote, it turns them into pictures.
Tables from outlook lose all their formatting. There's been sometimes I am able to copy a table correctly into Clickup but have not found the common denominator there lol
I'm hoping the team is able to provide more updates on this soon. We use tables all over for our notes.

Jenn Feliz: Yes, they get pasted as pictures too, or if I just do paste without formatting, it obviously clears the formatting, but at least the text is editable

Zeb this one seems more popular, if you want to merge into that one https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/doc-view-insert-table =)

Allow easy-to-use tables within the Docs view

Since ClickUp lacks the ability to create custom tables for quick notes or for structuring content that are not exactly tasks, the only option available at the moment is to create a Google Spreadsheet and embed it in Clickup.
With the release of the Docs view, it would be great to have a explore at how some similar products like Notion and Coda implement tables and bring some form of it into ClickUp docs. Alternatively, if tables can be a separate view that can be linked into docs that would be even better!

yeah. i'm imagining this as something of a replacement for Confluence. So pretty much, if it can be done in confluence it should be feasible in Clickup Docs. Being able to @ someone add dates and add inline Reminders would be really nice too

Kirk Mullis: We as well could imagine switching from confluence over to CU. We use confluence for internal documentation, something like a wiki. Confluence comes with so much features we don't need and therefore it might be a bit too heavy to use for the colleges. When it comes to brain dumping and quick capturing knowledge, CU docs are a great way to do that in a convenient way.. we love the /commands :)
What also could be damn useful is labeling docs as seen in confluence.

This would be brilliant. This would help documenting customer information for me a would be a great feature.

Different than "Sheet/Table view", this would enable simple tables to be created, even if unsortable, just to be able to organize basic information. 3x5, 5x10, nothing bigger.
Sheet view would be more robust and I'd like to be able to just create simple simple tables, without having to create a seperate view and then embed it.
