do not send notification when action is done by me

Luděk
I want to be notified only about others activity. For example - if others change decription - I want to know it, but if I change it - I know about it a do not want to receive worthless notifications. I want to be sure every notification has reasonable value.

Thx, Ludek. When an admin is in make changes/improvements/testing no notifications should go out. Looking forward to what you can provide.

When I close a repeating activity I get a notification that the new one has been created.

Ian de Groot: Thanks Ian! We're looking into as part of some upcoming improvements

Brendan W Is this still being looked into? It's been a bit since any activity, and hoping it's still being considered.

Hey, there! Thanks for the feature request :)
If you take an action in ClickUp, and its not ClickBot making the change, in what scenarios are you seeing a notification delivered to you?
Everett Franchuk
Brendan W: for me when I voted on this I was actually thinking about the clickbot notifications. Is there a way to turn them off or another feature request for that? Thanks!

Brendan W: I'm not sure whether these are ClickBot-originated or not, but the ones I'm getting that I would rather not get are (a) email notification to me when I have just sent an email to a ClickUp list (i.e. on creation of a new Task); and (b) email notification to me when a Task assigned to me is due today. I would like to be able to turn both of these off.
Brendan W
Everett Franchuk: You can go into your notification settings and turn off ClickBot notifications today!
Brendan W
James Daniel: Is the email for tasks assigned and due today the Daily Due Dates Summary? If so, yes you can disable that in your settings!
Luděk
Brendan W: I see! When I do an action, it is sometimes a trigger for Clicbot, but in this case I do not want to be notified about subsequnet Clickbot actions (I am aware of the consequences of my own action). But if the trigger for Clickbot is done by another person, I want to know about whole action (including included automations, because I wouldn't have to know that the person has any).

James Daniel
Brendan W: I do indeed get the Daily Summary, but I also get emails relating to individual Tasks, most notably an email for each overdue Task on the day it goes overdue. I don't need the individual ones because I read the Daily Summary (which is the only one I
don't
want to disable).Brendan W
James Daniel: Make sure this setting is off in your Notification Settings and you won't receive the individual ones moving forward!
Brendan W
Luděk: Thanks! Sounds like specifically with ClickBot from Automations is where your troubles lay
Luděk
Brendan W: You are right. I should change my requst to - I would like the Clickbot notifivations have more options. I want them to be differentiated according to who triggered the action. But I see, that it is complicated, because there can be a chain of action. Now I have Clickbot notification off and used to it.
Brendan W
Luděk: Thanks for the context! We'll keep looking into how we can improve this :)

Would this be a duplicate of (or maybe just related to) this?
Brendan W
Ethan Whitted: Different! Auto-clearing of notifications vs. not sending them!

Agree agree. Notifications is a bit infuriating at the moment. It's a shame because the interface is pretty good, I like the big ticks, but in practice I get so many notifications that I can't turn off that I end up going tick-crazy and miss genuinely important things.
Carson
I definitely understand this, but I do want to include an edge case: I make actions in ClickUp which kick off automations in Make (which connects to ClickUp using my credentials, and thus, ClickUp thinks it's me making those actions). I rely on these notifications of my own actions to know whether or not the automations completed successfully. Changing how that works would break this confirmation functionally.

Carson: But thats done by bot/automation, not by myself.
Carson
Jakub Müller: Since the bot is using my credentials, I'm not sure if ClickUp can tell the difference. Maybe it can, since those actions are done through the public API instead of the app's API...
