Disable "new feature" popups
F
Florent Peterschmitt
Regularly, while using ClickUp and after some new feature or changes were released, we get "popups" that are hiding everything behind.
In a particular case, i was about to add a comment on a task, and that popup made me lose the focus while typing.
So, i'd like to see them disabled, or at least a setting where you can chose to disable all those announcements.
I'm a simple user of clickup, 99.999% of the time all i do is creating and editing tasks, answering to comments. I absolutely don't care about the rest ^^'
Thank you

I have gotten so many popovers shoved in my face about how to use clickup it's driving me insane. I'm a highly technical user without a need for hints, or honestly, additional features. Please allow tips to be disabled!

Disable popups for new features

I don't know how many times I've closed the activate AI window, at some point I feel like I will accidentally click it and activate something I don't need. Would be great if clickup didn't show something like this multiple times (could be a bug or as intended, don't know)

Disable "Advertisement" Popups

ClickUp will oftentimes show a popup promoting one of their features, such as AI, or other extras. There must be an option to disable these, and all promotional types of popups. They are
highly
unwelcome, and after introducing ClickUp to my organization and getting on the pro plan, ClickUp was initially welcomed. However, these popups, with no option to disable them, were incredibly aggravating, and were one of the reasons my organization ultimately decided to drop ClickUp. I still use it for personal use, but these popups make me unquestionably angry. I have gone through the settings to disable them, but there is no option. I cannot emphasize enough how much promotional popups must be email only and not harass the user in-app.Brendan W

Annoying sell up notifications

I don't want “Did you know” “Our new feature” “Your Token content is xx% amount used” messages and popups. Every time I open ClickUp, every time I open a banner to click away. When I need a feature, I look for it, it's never useful to get to know them at a startup. I understand you want to push your features. Please give me a “Productive Mode” in which I hide all the sellup crap in the app.

Please enter/deactivate or provide a setting for it as soon as possible. When sharing on shopfloor monitors, it is massively annoying and makes our Moniorre unusable. Ad blockers do not work with our streamers

I am absolutely frustrated as a new user with this "in-your-face" blatant push for $ generating features. The support response "sorry cannot do that" is lame. It's enough to look for a different platform. At the very least there should be an option (like all other applications) to enable of disabale different notifications including new (paid) features. I know I can invite upto a certain number of users at no cost but gees to cover up the UI so aggressively !! Bad business strategy.

AI is the latest Snake Oil being peddled.
I don't know why they wish to ruin a perfectly good product, lower the quality of content, and reduce the skills of their users. I mean, I'm happy for ClickUp to do all three - I just don't want it constantly pushed in my face.
So yes, it's a :+1: from me to disable advertising popups in a paid application.
_Man, I sound really horrible in the above text! But at the same time I'm reticent to change it - these pop-ups and user-interactions, although small, really annoy me!_

I just disabled my adblocker for clickup (because of performance) and found myself swarmed with such popups.
I know that some people are resilient to trying out stuff unless shuffed in their face but this makes clickup fell like it's trying to sell me something. I'm already paying and I even already tried that feature out of curiosity.
I had one of those videos start in the background while in a meeting ~ i don't know how that happened but it should never do that ~
The adblock solution actually works quiet nice but slows clickup down massively.

Agreed. the "ClickUpdates" popup is some of the most annoying UX I've encountered in a while. We love bugfixes and QoL improvements, but we don't need to hear about every 👏 single 👏 one 👏 of them (I can be annoying too).
Why not make a devlog post for every release, then link to it in that nice
non-intrusive
little toast that pops up from time to time, when a new version is deployed?Load More
