Desktop App - Back Button or Tabs
Corey Huddleston
The desktop app does not have tabs, so when an in-app link is clicked, we lose our place in ClickUp. If we have much going on, and we fail to minimize the task, it is not possible to go back. Therefore, a back button would be very helpful, kind of like a browser's back button. If you don't do this, then opening links in new tabs would work. The back button is better than tabs, since tabs make it more like a browser than an App.

I absolutely need to see tabs in the desktop happen! This is a massive frustration for my entire team who is managing clickup and other systems in the process. We want to avoid being in a web browser. This has to be done ASAP!!

Yep this is definitely needed. The tray doesn't support adding views so it's not really very useful without that functionality. I'm currently using Clickup installed as an Edge app as a workaround, but it often requires manual refreshing of the tabs for changes to appear. I'd like to be able to just middle-click on any view, task, list etc and have it added to the tray, like I would a tab in any web browser.

So, big desktop app update with some useless features arrived today and I still can't use tabs with it!! I feel like crying.

Pleaseeeeeee add BOTH, a back button and tabs in the desktop app

I have been waiting for this functionality for three years :) I know the dev team has a lot of upgrades to do, but this tab thing is the only reason why I don't use Clickup Desktop App :) It would be great if we could work with tabs in one app like in Canva 🙏

yes, please add a literal back button for the desktop app. It works on my mouse, but it's frustrating to not have a literal back button

Add ability to create tabs in Desktop apps

As a user with multiple spaces and multiple lists that I need to frequently jump between, having the ability to create tabs in the same desktop window would be extremely useful. Using multiple windows gets cumbersome after 2 windows, whereas many tabs within one window could be added and managed much easier.

Makes sense - would like to see this too.

Add tabbed "browsing" to the desktop app. Currently "Open In New Tab" does nothing on the desktop. Tabbed browsing is also more convenient than having multiple windows open.

"Open in New Tab" in desktop app should open the result in the web browser. Otherwise, tabs are a pretty good idea.
