Descriptions for custom fields and statuses
when creating custom fields, add a field where we can enter a description to explain what that custom field does and what info should be entered. This would be shown as a tooltip when hovering over column titles in list views.

+1 to this one. Missing descriptions are such a hindrance when working with a team, as there is no way to convey how the list is supposed to be used.
This results in rework and inconsistent input.
We have to put comments in dropdown or label fields to avoid inconsistent input from employees. This is then a tradeoff, as the input is, in fact numerical values, leaving us unable to use Clickups build-in calculation and number features. Bummer.
That would be really helpful when working with many custom fields
This is part of best-in-class. Status descriptions. View descriptions. Tool tips would be a nice touch.

Absolutely. Unless there are descriptions for Custom Fields AND where dropdowns are offered, descriptions for the options also, users are not aware of what to enter or choose. This leads to Garbage in Garbage out.

I would like to be able to add descriptions to drop-down options.
So when you hit the drop-down to select an option you can see a more detailed description of what the option is when you do a mouseover.
We use the drop-down to mark the urgency of a task.
I would like one of the options to be 'URGENT' and when mouse over that option. I would like to show a description telling what our criteria are for urgent tasks.
This is to make it easier for the whole team to be aligned in their decisions
I would like the description to be visible after the options are selected when doing mouseover in the tasks and views as well.
