Date updated filter is missing many tasks
under review
Aaron Voelker
If I create a filter like "Date updated is Last 2 weeks" there are many recently updated tasks that are missing from the view.
Strangely, if I change it to "Date updated is Last 2 days" (days instead of weeks) then some of those tasks (e.g., from yesterday) magically appear. Setting the filter back makes them disappear again.
Now, even stranger yet, if I change the filter to "Date updated is Next 2 weeks" (in the future) then some of the other missing tasks appear in this view, even though one would think that view should be empty.

Hi Mike Masin and voters!
As you can see in the thread with Aaron below, this issue is not a bug but possibly a request to change the wording and functionality of the filters to better suit expectations from the user.
That being said, I will summarize our findings and change this post to a feature request so our awesome product team can review the requested changes and update voters here if there will be any movement on the request!
Currently:
- The "last 2 weeks" filter will NOT include tasks from "this week" (i.e. the week you are currently in) but the 14 days before "this week" started
- You can use the "or" option to add a "this week" filter to see relevant tasks from this week as well
- The "next x days (or weeks)" filter includes"today" and onwards
I hope this clears it up!
If you notice any deviation from this or want to add any details of how you would like to see this, please let us know if you haven't already!
Thanks!

I agree, "Last two weeks" should include tasks up until today.

Vincent Varghese: Like Aaron Voelker said, I interpret Last 2 weeks as occurring from 14 days before today up through and including today.

Hi, Aaron Voelker and voters!
Thank you so much for taking the time to bring this to our attention. 🙏
I wasn't able to reproduce this issue on my end as you can see in the video below but I'm sure everyone's set up is a bit different so we'd love to gather more information!
The "last 2 weeks" filter would not include tasks from "this week" (i.e. the week you are currently in) so I would expect "yesterday's" tasks to be excluded. You can use the "and" option to add "this week" to the filter if you do want to see those!
The "Date updated is Next 2 weeks" filter should be empty and was empty in my testing so that is odd! I'd be interested to hear more about the tasks that are appearing when this filter is applied. What are the dates they were updated on? 🔍
I would love to hear from you and voters what view you are noticing this in, and any other specifics of the bug so we can troubleshoot further!
You can check out my video trying to reproduce this here: https://sharing.clickup.com/clip/p/t10552535/61bc5c53-5a73-4b31-a35b-574c9103c1f1/screen-recording-2021-05-28-07%3A44.webm
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Thanks!

Vincent Varghese: Thanks for the quick response.
> The "last 2 weeks" filter would not include tasks from "this week" (i.e. the week you are currently in) so I would expect "yesterday's" tasks to be excluded.
Ah that definitely explains half the issue then. Thanks for clarifying. Just to give a bit of feedback, I find that language a bit ambiguous/unclear to be honest, since I'm used to the colloquial meaning where for example "in the last 2 days" would mean everything from 2 days ago until now (instead of being exactly 2 days ago and not including anything within the present day). I hope this feedback can be used to help others in the future.
> You can use the "and" option to add "this week" to the filter if you do want to see those!
I think this should be "or" instead of "and"? I tried "and" and it returns empty results, since it's taking the intersection of two disjoint sets. The filter "Date updated is Last 2 weeks 'or' Date updated is This Week" works as we require. Hurray!
> The "Date updated is Next 2 weeks" filter should be empty and was empty in my testing so that is odd! I'd be interested to hear more about the tasks that are appearing when this filter is applied. What are the dates they were updated on? 🔍
When I select the "Date updated is Next 2 weeks" filter, the "date updated" column of any filtered tasks or subtasks is between 9-11am of today for me when it is 11:30am (EST). Could there be an issue with time zones between different users not being compared correctly?

Aaron Voelker:
Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely talk to our Product team about this! Also, you are completely right, I definitely meant "or" for the second filter ha!
We haven't noticed that issue before but I'd love to look into that further. When you get a moment can you take a screenshot of what you're seeing and either post it here or email it to bugs@clickup.com with a link to this Canny?
Looking forward to investigating that a bit more!

Vincent Varghese: I sent an email with a few screenshots. After looking at them a bit more closely, I think the "Date updated is Next 2 days" filter is including the "Date updated is Today", which is why it includes some tasks from the morning. That makes sense to me then. So when the date filter is "next x days" then it must be including today, and when the date filter is "last x days" it is excluding today.
Vincent Varghese
Aaron Voelker: Ah, that is it! Great to hear we've pinned it down.
Our team will still look at the images coming in to ensure everything is correct and review!
Thanks Aaron!
