Date format same for custom date fields as standard date fields
Pascal Zweipfenning
I have added a custom date field and it shows a different format (13/6/19) compared to the standard date fields (13 Jun). Please make all the formats equal across all date fields.

Give users the choice to add Time to Dates - Custom Formula & Automatons

Today I was asked to develop some things in ClickUp for the team I work with, and I faced two challenges that have a common theme. Dates without times.
Problem 1:
My first task was to determine how old a task is in hours to help team stay on top of newly created tasks in our help-desk list. This was to be used in a dashboard, but could also be used in a list view. This failed because the Custom Formula "TODAY()" failed to include the time element and instead the calculation assumed midnight. I would need the time in order to rapidly identify aging tasks to ensure a timely response.
Problem 1's solution proposal:
A new custom formula "NOW()" which would contain the same date as "TODAY()" but also include the time.
Problem 2:
My second task was regarding identifying the average time (in hours) it takes for a task to be moved from its original status to any other status. To accomplish this I decided on using an automation to set a custom date field to the task's "Date Updated" field (which contains a date and a time) only when a user changes the status from its initial status. However, when the automation triggers only the date portion of "Date Updated" is copied into my custom field which renders this automation useless.
Problem 2's solution proposal:
Allow the user to determine if they want to inherit the time portion or not when setting the date via automation.

PLEASE!!!. This is extremely annoying and breaks my flow when trying to review a list with dates like: "12/15/23", "Feb 4", "Tomorrow", "11/25/22", "4 days ago"... all in one column. You have to export it to excel just to make it easier to read. I dont want to be doing date calculations in my head, especially when todays relative date is not important. This cutesy function might work for Betty Sue, but anyone who deals with dates day-in-day-out, this is outright confusing. PLEASE.PLEASE.PLEASE.PLEASE fix this abomination of a "feature". PLEASE give us an opt-out option. You store every thing in EPOCH time format in the back end. This should be easy!

It would be nice if when we are adding the date in the custom fields box it could read 1/2/2022

IDEALLY: It would make sense if we could have a "control tab" that was called: Formatting > Display Values - or something like that that could be set at the Space, Folder and List level whereby the User can then control how all Dates, Currency, Numbers, etc appeared.
Custom Fields could then have an option at the creation level for the user to select: "Display result as =" > "[LIST OF DISPLAY VALUES]"

Please I need this date format able in the table view.

Keep "dates" as Dates and not "Due Today/Tomorrow

From Front thread: Sometimes there are dates that show the m/d/yr while others show "tomorrow" or "today". It would be nice to change these with a switch of a button.

I'd like to customize how a custom date is displayed, for example in my particular case i would like a custom date to show up as "August 2019" (so without the day), instead of "15/08/19" as it is displayed now.

This feature needs more votes! Seems simple enough to do!
