It would be helpful to have a date created that would populate automatically. For ex. we have emails forwarded to folders and we would like to know the date the emails arrive.

Hi Barbara - are you thinking something other than the existing "Date created" standard field that you can add to any task? Thanks!

Caroline Ginty: As requested, it would auto-populate, not have to be added individually to each task.

Barbara: Yes exactly; this is how the Date created (not a Custom Field, this field already exists and can be added to any list) field works today and is auto populated with the date the task was created.
