Dashboards 2.0

Now that Dashboards are out, here's our wishlists for the next iteration!
- Widget for Docs - being able to show a single document. Use case:
1) To showcase SOP/Notes to users that don't have edit permissions in the doc. (why not just use the text widget? because when using Docs as a Wiki, using the text widget fractures the information flow)
2) To add notes to an ongoing document, for users with edit permissions.
- Calendar Widget, with options to show single day, 4 days, week, month, like in GCal - useful to be working from a single Dashboard and have the agenda on hand at a glance
- Task widget - Ability to add tasks from the widget - but not by having to scroll all the way down the list, but either a form on top like in Inbox, or on the bottom might be clearner/out of the way
- Tasks - changing status without opening the full task
- Time tracked - being able to group tasks by: tag, list/folder, or other custom field, rather than just grouping per user.
Use Case: Replacing Toggl as timesheets for clients. Being able to calculate the total for client/folder, but see the breakdown per list - being able to filter by single use or cumulative by all users.
- Pie chart: Time TRACKED - grouping by list/folder, tag, or custom field

Smaller Dashboard grid tiles
The Dashboard grid tiles are quite large, and don't allow you to easily match the widgets to your monitor/window size.
Can the grid tiles be made smaller? At least 50% smaller, if not 75% smaller.

A customisable calendar widget for dashboard is really needed.
Embedding a calendar view does not work well because it shows the View tabs and the location Breadcrumb, instead of just the Calendar itself.
Also, changing any settings will then also change the originally embedded Calendar view, which is not ideal - you would really only want settings to change the Calendar widget on the dashboard, not the original Calendar view.

Better aesthetics overall for the dashboards would be great. See monday.com for idea on what high level dashboard polish looks like. Love ClickUp but I see this as a key area it is behind some of the competition.

Dashboards as a View would be really helpful.

Adding calendar views to dashboards is a must! The embed option displays too much extra information.

Ability to lock text block widgets, so you can't edit them unless you're in "edit-mode".
This makes creating headlines and descriptions to your dashboard soooo much easier.

Today's release of 2.3 has made already bulky widgets
even bulkier
by adding an overly padded line beneath each title displaying a timestamp of each widget's
last refresh. 😖 It took so much finesse arranging my widgets to fit neatly on one page for easy overview (you know, like a dashboard?), and now I have to scroll to view them all because they're globbed up with extra space. Please—PLEASE—make this optional? (I'd much rather see one single "refreshed" timestamp than have it displayed 10 times at the obscurity of critical data...)

Would also love to not have to name widgets

Can we get rid of the "Dashboard last updated" banner across the top?
It is distracting, uses up space, and shifts contents of the dashboard down, moving some things out of view.
It would be much better to just have a small icon or couple of words next to the refresh button. (See example image.) This would not shift the contents down, would not take up important space, would not be distracting, and would serve the exact same purpose.
The wording could even be changed to "updated X mins ago" with the refresh icon next to it, and it would be very clear what it is showing and what the button does.

Not sure if this was already stated, but I just now tried using the dashboard and was disappointed to find it moves the widgets around when I return to the dashboard from the task list , or just reload the page. The widgets need to stay where I place them. I didn't even bother trying it on different size screens to see what the page would do. Dashboard is usable to me in its current form. Viewer mode doesn't help...
