Dashboard widget: clickable directly to the tasks
complete
Naya
I use "next" and "stuck/waiting" as a status. I created a pie chart showing me I have 6 items that are stuck or waiting for something. But that's it. I would like to be able to click to the "stuck" segment and get the tasks and subtasks listed that are stuck. Same goes for the sprint widget: I get the info that there are 17 active items left. It would be neat to be able to klick on that info and get a list of which these are exactly. That would enable me to immediately start with execution, triggered by the visualization on the widget. Without this execution moment it is merely a nice graphic that does not really help productivity.

We started the closed Beta for Bar charts just now. All those who signed up for closed Beta for drilldown automatically get access to it. PLEASE PLEASE play around with it and give your feedback https://dev-forms.clickup.com/333/f/ad-837729/8RFIBMUERMWESU7O9R
PS - Bar charts with Time as X-axis does not drilldown. That will be enabled in the next 2-3 weeks

I see this is a complete update, I like the clickable charts for internal purposes, but how can i restrict the level of drill down a user can have? e.g. i want to click on the chart and show the task relevant to the pie segment, but I don't want a user to be able to click into the tasks. Does this functionality exist?

Dashboard chart drill-down capabilities with lists (locations)
Marcus Woller
In the dashboard chart overview, which came with release 2.189, it would be nice to see the list (location) of a task.
Or even change the shown columns.

Open new tab when clicking a card in Dashboards
Frederic Comtois
When viewing cards in Dashboards like pie charts and graphs, it would be greatly useful to be able to click on a section of the pie or graph and have a new tab open up displaying a list of the tasks in the clicked section.
For example:
If I have a pie chart of tasks grouped by status and I highlight the To Do section of the chart, a new tab would open up displaying a list of the tasks in To Do referred in the chart.

Hemant Kumar: Nailed it - very useful. maybe the ability to add (+) a column on the task list that pops up would be useful, but overall meet's expectations - Great Job! Looking forward to the Bar and Custom Pie Charts as well.

Hemant Kumar: The first look is good, you can drill down. Some quirks are definitely there: the list it brings up is not always filtered or match with the chart (e.g. pie slice says 8 items, list has 100+ items), so perhaps it is ignoring the widget filter or the filter for the whole dashboard (or both); the colour for the status in the pie chart is not always the same as it is in the task list. Would be helpful to have the drill down bring up a configurable view of the list, or be able to configure it right in the dashboard (or even use a template for the list?). I couldn't get the battery chart to work at all, i.e. clicking on a section did not drill down at all.

Hemant Kumar: This is so brilliant and helpful and I'm so very excited for it. Thank you so much. The Pie Chart drill down is behaving almost exactly how I want it to.
Ideally, I could interact with the things I can see the same as in a list - so when I drill down from the pie chart, I see a list of things relevant to that drill down, but to interact I have to open up the project. It's just a few more clicks added and wait time to open and close that doesn't feel strictly necessary but that I'll happily learn to tolerate and embrace.
I love that I go back to the dashboard and not the list/space after closing the thing I interacted with.
The link just asked for my name and space - it didn't go to a form/survey to fill out.

Jarod McPherson Bruce Rankin Megan Justice Thanks for the feedback here. Glad you found this useful.
- We fixed a bug to match the list of tasks with drill down recently
- We will definitely add a lot of customization on the list of tasks going forward (Search, Filter, group by, Add column). I will check if i can add "+ column" right away

This should apply to every widget or item in the dashboard! You can see how it works in Jira to get more ideas
