Cutomizing maps for a wider use and better understanding for users
Philippe Feracci
Hi,
To better inform users with map view it would be nice to be able to set an icon to a point based on a tag or a dropdown menu as well as selecting a color.
In addition, it would be useful for a quick inspection to be able to add custom fields to the popup when clicking on a point on the map (same principle as the Kaban view). At the moment the information is fairly limited. This would be especially useful when sharing a map with users without wanting to give them full access to all the tasks behind the point.
As a good illustration, we are managing the current riot crisis in New Caledonia which as been viewed more than 80 000 times in 3 days: https://doc.clickup.com/9016295769/d/8cpkgat-1196/guidedassistancemeutesennouvelle-caldonie available on our website https://feracci.org/. We are pushing Clickup to its limits but we are still missing some key features.
The address field seems to be connected to Google. Based on Google data, would it be possible to retrieve the phone number, opening hours, ... from Google My Business?
When sharing a view, would it be possible to add filters on the map based on custom fields (that are allowed) for users to be able to analyse and select only certain points based on individual needs?
Finally, when using an address field in a form, would it be possible to choose between writing the address, placing manually a point on a map and retrieving the coordinates or both?
