Feature Request: Custom Keyboard Shortcuts and Proper Multi Select Support

Please add fully customizable keyboard shortcuts similar to VS Code.

Right now, ClickUp’s keyboard shortcut system is both limited and inefficient. Many default shortcuts are unused or low value, yet users cannot remap them to actions they actually rely on. This is wasted shortcut real estate.

More importantly, ClickUp is missing extremely basic multi select behavior that exists in file explorers and most modern productivity tools:

• Shift + click should select a continuous range of tasks from the currently selected task to the target task

• Ctrl or Cmd + click should allow individual task selection

• Ctrl or Cmd + A should select all tasks in the current view

These are table stakes interactions. Not having them makes basic admin work like cleanup, bulk edits, and organization far more time consuming than the actual task work. Too many clicks, too much friction.

Power users live on the keyboard. We actively prefer shortcuts over mouse driven workflows. The lack of standard selection mechanics and the inability to customize shortcuts significantly hurts productivity and makes ClickUp feel clunky compared to tools like VS Code.

Until core interactions like selecting multiple tasks efficiently are resolved, it’s hard to justify paying for the platform when simple organizational work takes longer than it should.

Custom keyboard shortcuts plus standard multi select behavior would be a massive quality of life improvement and a clear win for serious users.

It would be great to have customizable keyboard shortcuts. Especially when switching between different languages and keyboards the ability for global shortcuts is crucial!

Update this feature! Can't use the app as it has the same shortcuts designers use for Adobe software. Please fix.

Customnizable SHortcuts are a must! Especially to organize shortcuts in more easy to remember, or assign them to F Keys.

Yes! I want this for favorites at least. We use a form (not a template) to create tickets a lot, and having that form be the CtrlJ shortcut would make way more sense for me.

Would love to be able to change the shortcut so that I can use my preferred hotkeys.

I would love to see shortcuts for bulk actions in the toolbar like merging tasks.

Man the biggest thing i miss from trello is being able to hit the number keys to quickly tag things. Came to clickup thinking its so customizable 100% it will have great hotkeys and found out they have zero hotkey customization -_-
