Custom Grouping of views
Nimesh Baidhya
Hi,
It is crucial to have custom grouping of views rather than by the type of the view. Suppose if we are focusing on the 1st quarter of the year, it would be required to have all the views like list, calendar, gantt, etc. It would be sensible to put all of them in group called Q1 rather than jumping around all the views.

Michael Van Doorn I think this is your area? Apologies if not.
Any chance this could be re-opened?
It would be great to be able to create folders for views so we can organise them manually.
Right now, when you have a lot of views for a location, it can become very difficult to find the view you want.
If we could create folders for views and organise them as we see fit, it would really help.

Guy Mannerings: This request appears to be the same? If so I'll merge them!

Michael Van Doorn Yes, great. Thank you!

Can we please get Folders for Views?
Rather than having one long (horizontal) list of views, I want to be able to make manually named folders where I can manually organise certian Views in to them.
This also goes for favourites.

Custom grouping of tasks in the app would be very helpful. Now only, Today, Overdue, Next and No due date

Hey everyone! We're making some updates to the Views header navigation as part of 3.0 and are looking to iterate on it more. Can you please fill in this survey? It will help us so much! https://click-up.typeform.com/to/HFVaafVs 🙏

Briana Ings: Briana Ings the image you provided in the typeform is too small. I cannot really see the difference between v2 and v3.

Briana Ings: I cannot see anything in the images attached to the form, they aren't cappable to zoom

Briana Ings: looks like a joke for community to be honest. Do you see anything in my attachment? I cannot

Ability to make folders for views across the task bar

It would be great to be able to organize views into folders along the top. when you have many different views created it would be awesome to be able to organize them by their relevance and by dept usage. For example - Accounting views , Finance Views etc. and then inside have all views created associated to those depts. It will also reduce the amount of views pinned across the top.

Here is a request made by us for a very similar functionality of being able to group views in folders. Hopefully these requests can be merged together to show a higher demand for this feature

I agree with this. I have various views I'd like to create at the Space level to aggregate tasks from different lists and folders. But without the ability to organize these it gets cluttered really fast. So I end up creating new lists within the space and copying tasks to those lists. I would also add to go along with this, the ability to set permissions for views would also be helpful so in this example, the Finance views are only shared with people in Finance, that way it's not as cluttered for everyone. I would like to be able to create these as an admin and only share them with specific people.

We have a large number of defined views that none of our employees would like to be without. This makes our menu ribbon much wider than the nicest 5k screen can handle. As soon as we stop pinning the views, we actually end up with something similar to a grouped menu, but unfortunately without any influence on the order and only with views of the same type (i.e. without considering the context of the view).
So: if you want to do teams with complex requirements a favor, give us a free grouping here!

I'm going to add that it would be nice to be able to re-order views into a logical order. For example I want to use a document to create a Folder or Space landing page that describes the project and has links to other locations (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, OneDrive). I want to be able to make that the first Tab in the views at the top of the page and then order the other tabs as relevant to my workflow.
