CSV Importer - Ability to map all Custom Fields
in progress
Joe Baye
Be able to map the existing custom fields right from the beginning rather than going through the whole import process and to map new custom import fields to existing ClickUp custom fields. It's an extra step

Hi everyone! I just wanted to provide an update that we have paused turning this on for additional customers who've signed up using the Form while we are resolving some bugs. Once those are fixed, we'll continue enrolling additional Workspaces. Thank you!

Zach I would love to be part of the beta testing. Our organization completed the form before it was closed but received no communication about it. Having an efficient way to map custom fields will help make many of our processes more efficient.

The new import is not allowing to select existing custom fields when trying to map custom fields from the import. It was possible before. Why is that? Also not able to set the comma as my separator so the importing is not working for me at all.

Capability to import existing task field updates is also needed, it will be of much help when some data reports are there in excel / CSV and a pcarticular custom field in the existing tasks of a list needs to be updated based on values in particular column of the excel / CSV. Zach

Is anyone else experiencing issues with the new importer? All the files are mapped and show the correct data when going thru the process. However when finalizing, only about 5% of the data actually imports.
Zach
Michael Crissey: hey Michael I definitely believe you but could you share some more info for our team? Are you having issues when you're mapping CFs or maybe the delimiter step? Or are there no clear signs as to what is failing, it just does?
Michael Crissey
Zach Below are two screenshots. The first 'Upload Screen' shows the final mapping and all data is there. Everything lines up and appears to be good to go.
The second screenshot 'Imported', are all the line items from the import process, but hardly any of the data is there.

We are currently unable to to import data into a relationship field . I am wondering why and if the new CSV importer will allow us to do so

Zach - any update to share on CSV Importer upgrade?

Hi, I had signed up for beta testing for this feature but didn't receive any confirmation or access to test it in my workspace. Could you please let me know when is this feature releasing?
Zach
For everyone who signed up for the beta I posted below, it has been turned on in your Workspace!
Please send all your feedback to this email:
which will post your comments directly to a task that our engineering team will review.
Thank you 🙏

Hi Zach - is there an easy way to tell whether this has been turned on for our account? I filled in the form, but I can't see a way to map custom fields.

It would be great if we could import spreadsheets to update existing records. For example, if I have 10 cards created, it is necessary to go up a base to update the 10 that already exist, and create new records, if it is not already on the destination list.

Felipe Covas agree! We are consistently trying to clean up data and use ClickUp as the most up to date tool, but not being able to update existing records via load makes that not possible at scale for us.
Felipe Covas
Miriam Daub Exactly, Miriam!
