Create lists in multiple folders at once
Klaas van Arensbergen
We use ClickUp as an Agency and every client has a space with several folders in it. In at least two folders there is a list for every month. Now I have to go to every folder individually to create new lists for each month, like 'December 2020'.
It would be great if I only had to create the 'December 2020' list once and then add it to multiple folders.
At the moment you can already select a location when you create a list (see screenshot), but you can't select multiple locations. I would love to have the option to select multiple locations at once. That would make the world more productive!

For what it's worth, Asana has this feature (multiple Projects in multiple Portfolios, in their terminology), so hopefully you guys can consider it. 🙏

This would be helpful for when you have multiple Projects that are spread out across multiple different Lists in multiple different Spaces, but you want one folder to house all your Projects to make them easy to find.
So you have a main "Projects" Folder under a "Goals" Space, and inside it are Lists of Projects that actually live in multiple different Spaces.

Also, a List (Goal) can absolutely be related to multiple areas (Folders).

The ability to have a list show up in multiple places. This would allow for users to create their own custom workspace as well as allow cross departments to work off the same list within their own spaces.

Lists in Multiple Folders

Like tasks in multiple lists, this would be a very useful feature to streamline workflow, particularly in agile management.

Brendan W Just realized this is very useful for shared resources across spaces
Use case, we separate order and project management, but orders and projects are related so we have to have a projects list in both order management and project management spaces. While we can do this via automations, it would be wonderful to just let one list appear multiple times in multiple folders or spaces.

A workaround you could do for now is to create some automations in both Lists:
- When a task is created in List 1, add it to List 2
- When a task is moved to List 1, add it to List 2
- When a task is added to List 1, add it to List 2
- When a task is created in List 2, move it to List 1 and keep in this List
- When a task is moved to List 2, move it to List 1 and keep in this List
- When a task is added to List 2, add it to List 1
This will have all of the tasks live in List 1 (except those that live elsewhere) so the statuses will be governed there. But the tasks should stay in sync between the two Lists and they will have all of the same custom fields. You would need to add custom fields to both Lists if you want them available in views (i.e. if Field A only exists in List 1, you can't have it in a view in List 2 even though all of the tasks happen to have that field because the field doesn't exist on the List).

you can add a list to multiple spaces, click on the ellipsis (three dots) in task view and select "add to" you can add to multiple places. you do need to enable a clickApp for this, it's called "tasks in multiple lists" and you are gonna want to check off the "subtasks" so you can also add subtasks to multiple places. (go into settings- clickapps)

This would be extremely useful in providing multiple views to see what I want. We currently have a folder for each type of list and have each of our clients in all of the different folder, but it would ideal to also have those lists in folder that is specific to each client, so we could then view all of that clients' info without having to go to different folders and sort through long lists of clients to find the one we are looking for each time. The other view is more practical for us, but there is a lot to be gained having multiple views on the information.

This would be really beneficial! Especially if you can have them in folders that are in separate spaces as well. Sometimes you just want to have a list appear in multiple project folders. It's possible with a lot of automation magic now, but it seems like such a basic feature that is currently missing.

Just like how it's helpful to be able to see tasks grouped together in various ways so too would it be helpful to have lists be able to be grouped together in various ways, i.e. having lists exist in multiple locations (folders, spaces)
